Balneological Consulting and Control Programme
The Minister
of Health appointed Prof. dr hab. Irena Ponikowska as the head of the
Polish Balneological Consulting and Control Program since 1995. This
program has several objectives as outlined below:
- education
of new physicians in the field of balneology and physical medicine
- cooperation
with other medical associations
- setting
up medical standards to be applied at forty health resorts
- control
of the balneological health care wards
- estimate
the country’s need in the field of balneology
- coordinating
balneological researches in Poland
- prepare
indications and contraindications to spa therapy
- prepeare
the standards for the health resorts medicine
